I love my bore scope I am a everyday mechanic and use it to look inside engines. I have sent it down a few spark plug holes. it works great. you can submerge the cable into solvents because it uses fiber optics. so there is no electrical charge in the cable. I have submerged it in gasoline and motor oil. if the motor oil is black then it does not work so well. I have not used it in diesel fuel yet or thicker oils like 90 weight. I have also not sent it down an intake manifold yet to inspect valve seats. I am not sure if you could see it that well. it is very flexible but sometimes hard to control. it works best in pipes that have nice radius's. it has a replaceable light bulb in the handle. you can also focus the lens just like a camera.
