Sockets are in my opinion a serious STRONG POINT of the S-K tool line. To the point - S-K makes, in my opinion, some of the very best professional grade sockets to be found anywhere, no matter the brand or the price. Point blank - period - they are comparable to the very best, and as good as it gets.
In my personal tool box I have literally hundreds of sockets. Standard height - tall - chrome - impact - 1/4 - 3/8 - 1/2 - you name it - if you need it to work on a car - good chance it's in there. I have sockets from Snap-On, from MAC Tools, Matco, and Cornwell. And I have sockets from S-K. I would say S-K sockets make up at least 25% of all the sockets I own - and they are absolutely fantastic. They grip bolts with rounded off corners with ease. They will turn anything that the big boys sockets will turn. I have put my impacts on 1/2 inch Dynabrade pneumatic impact guns without any deforming on the square attachment hole. What can I say? THEY WORK! They hold up! And they do everything and anything you ask of them to do.
The WORST think I can say about them is that it IS possible to scratch the chrome on the deep well sockets for example if you use them to loosen up a lug nut on a wheel. I did NOT say scratch THROUGH - just a superficial mark on the chrome itself. Now if you used the impacts instead - that is not a problem. I just needed a thin wall socket because of clearance on a Porsche, and noticed this later. Probably any of the others - no matter the brand - would have gotten a mark also - so I do not criticize them for this. Their Chrome seems to be as hard and as thick as any on my Snap-Ons or Macs.
Now about the ratchet handle itself. Folks Mechanics are fairly finicky when it comes to their personal ratchet handles. This is a tool they use all day long every day. They may have 100 sockets - but I guarantee you every mechanic has a favorite ratchet handle that he uses with all of them. This said - I would be surprised if that ratchet handle happened to be the SK handle included in this set. The reason is purely subjective. This ratchet handle is sturdy, durable, well made, and completely capable of providing years of trouble free reliable use. It has a good grip, and by any measure, is excellent. However.... It just does not "FEEL" right to me - particularly in the "click" that I feel. It feels - what is the right word? Harsh? Beyond this I am not a fan of ratchet handles that select direction by rotating on the centerline of the socket. I prefer the Snap-On / Matco design where there is a separate lever you can easily flip with your thumb - one way - or the other. For MY money - I would buy this set for all of the parts - then buy a Snap-On ratchet handle - keeping the SK handle for a backup. Oh - wait - that is EXACTLY what I did and have in my personal tool box!
All in all - a stellar superstar product - at a price the average home mechanic can afford. I give this product 5 stars - only because I can not give it 6......

Decent sockets. They should hold up great for occasional use and maybe heavy use.
This bubble flare tool worked well for replacing brake lines on my dodge, for the home mechanic it is adequate.

Well,if you have no other tools and you are looking for a portable inexpensive starter set, this may be okay.But if you are looking for a practical portable set that doesn't empty its' contents everytime you open the plastic carrying case, keep looking.Its worth what you will pay here, so pay more for a better set.You'll thank me later.
Nice compact tool set, color coded tools is nice for quickly putting away the sockets. Really liked the extra space to add my own tools. Only 3-stars, the case is on the cheap side on we'll see how long it will hold-up.
Works fine with two suggestions. Use a little light oil on die and cone to save on wear on the tool. Make sure your die is level both directions before doing the first flare.
I was sceptical of these as the price was reasonable. However, they appear to be good quality and i've used them and had no issues. For the price and with free shipping (as they are heavy) I think these are good value

I bought the husky brand and was deeply disapointed that HomeDepot didn't have replacment or individual sockets available anymore.I looked at Sears and the quality isn't there anymore. The size is hard to read.This SK set has more sizes than the Husky or Kobalt brands. I can order any other sizes and accessories on Amazon.I have used SK tools years ago and these are far superior to the sets that I used to have. I am going to buy the larger sizes to complete my set.
I am very happy with the tools that I bought for my son as a Christmas gift. This a great value and as always the quality was as expected. My son will be very pleased with his gift...I am happy with the arrival time also., as I did not expect to receive these so quickly...
It may seem quite odd for a person with my relative incompetence to write about a tool set, but I've gone through quite a few in my day despite my ineptitude. For the price you would expect these sets of tools to be cheap and fall apart but they are anything but. Do I think they will last me forever? No, but having owneda set several times the price and using both sparingly over the years I can tell you that for recreational projects these work fantastically. It has all the general multi-purpose pliers that one needs for general household and mechanical projects (or in my case mishaps) along with a great pair of relatively slim curved needle nose pliers that I have searched for and only found in this set. 
This is a good collection of inexpensive hand tools. Durable enough for most home jobs, and inexpensive and handy.
This is a great tool for freeing stuck screws. I used it to free the rotor retaining screws on a set of disc brakes. Plus this tool was made in USA.

This is a good starter set for someone who has no sockets,(like the person I bought it for). It could use a spark plug socket. Other than that it's a great set for the money,

This was an outstanding purchase especially for the price.My set is laid out differently that this picture, but I believe they are still the same.For less than $100 you get a great set.I especially like how it has the multiple size socket wrenches.Only issue I've had is that the sockets are held in there really tight.This is, of course, a good thing since it prevents them from falling out while closed up.However, it also makes it somewhat difficult to get them out.This really isn't a problem since as you use it more and more, it seems to loosen up a bit.
